Dr. Kelly Proctor
Dr. Proctor brings a passion for exceptional veterinary care and a fascinating background in companion animals, exotic pets, and wildlife conservation. Her journey has taken her from studying biology and managing a herpetarium filled with reptiles and amphibians, to participating in wildlife conservation projects in the Caribbean and Guatemala and ultimately earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Proctor spent seven years working in specialty veterinary medicine, gaining valuable experience in surgery, emergency, intensive care, and internal medicine. She completed her clinical training at the University of Wisconsin–Madison before making Colorado her home.
Dr. Proctor has a special interest in feline medicine and is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She is also Fear Free Certified and enjoys helping pets feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible during their visits. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, she has extensive experience with reptiles and other exotic pets and is passionate about educating owners on the unique needs of these species.
When she's not at the hospital, you'll likely find Dr. Proctor fostering kittens for Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue, tending to her ever-growing collection of houseplants, spending time with her four Siamese-mix cats and three snakes, or exploring Colorado's mountains with her husband.
